Top-class walking country and hundreds of miles of rights of way make the North Wessex Downs a great place to get outside, get some fresh air and stretch your legs.
Whether you regularly hike up hills or prefer a more relaxing stroll, there is so much to enjoy in this beautiful landscape. With stunning views all around, the area is steeped in history and home to glorious, and often rare, wildlife. Please read The Countryside Code and follow it at all times.
The fourth annual North Wessex Downs Walking Festival closed on 9th June after a full and varied programme of walks took place over ten days. You can see the programme here.
