Heading to a beauty spot is not essential travel. Large numbers of people travelling to rural, remote or unfamiliar areas puts pressure on all our emergency services, makes it impossible to keep 2 metres away from people and spreads infection.
The single most important action we can all take, in fighting Coronavirus, is to stay at home in order to protect our NHS and save lives.
The Government says you need to:
- Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (where this absolutely cannot be done from home)
- Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people
- Wash your hands as soon as you get home
Please follow these measures and we look forward to you visiting the North Wessex Downs when this is all over. Thank you.
