Join us for a Sunday afternoon walk from Hampstead Norreys, an historic village nestled deep in rolling downland on the upper reaches of the River Pang.

Our 4.5-mile route takes us through the village, into ancient woods and over open arable fields. This is a varied walk packed with interesting discoveries along the way, including a sparkling stream, wildflowers, and local history from ancient mounds to a wartime airfield. We walk at a moderate pace, but pause along the way to explore these points of interest.

There are three main climbs – we can take our time to admire the views – and a total ascent of about 450ft (140m). Paths are rough and uneven in part and may be muddy. No stiles.

Please dress appropriately for a walk in the countryside and having regard to the British weather! A small rucksack is useful for personal items such as water, snacks, spare clothing, personal first aid, camera, etc.
