We are delighted to be partnering again with LEAF (Linking Education and Farming) to put on a 2 day course to learn how to host schools on your farm. Learn about how to link your farm activities to the national curriculum, keep visitors safe and advertise your farm to local schools. A 2 day event run by Jo Hatton from LEAF and hosted by one of our farms in the Pewsey Vale. Free to farmers in the North Wessex Downs.
You will learn how food and farming can be incorporated into the school curriculum, and how to communicate effectively with both teachers and pupils. With the help of your tutor you will gather useful documents into a portfolio which is then submitted for accreditation. Our tutors help you every step of the way!
Supported by the North Wessex Downs FiPL programme, this is free of charge and is not only useful for personal development but is also recognised by a number of insurers, schools and local authorities as a mark of good practice.
