West Woodhay Farms


West Woodhay, near Newbury is 1000 hectares of mixed farming with arable and livestock. There is a house dating back to 1635 with beautiful mature gardens including a walled garden with fruit, vegetables and flowers. The woodlands are managed to produce timber, maintain the landscape and nature conservation and sporting habitats.

Hampshire Country Learning organises curriculum linked Countryside Days for schools on farm estates. Twilight briefing sessions are available before the open days along with support materials. To find out when this estate day is, logon to website below or contact Jo Britton.

All educational visits to this estate are coordinated by Hampshire Country Learning. Please contact the education coordinator if you would like to arrange a visit. There is no charge but a donation of £1.00 per pupil is suggested.
