Sir Richard Sutton Settled Estates, near Newbury is 1800 hectares of mixed farming with livestock and arable crops. Education visits take place at Speen Moor, a fascinating and historic area within walking distance of Newbury. There is the opportunity to study the River Kennet and various habitats such as species-rich grassland, crops, ancient hedgerows, reedbeds and wet alder woodlands with a network of watercourses. Nearby there is also a pillbox and the opportunity to study the Kennet and Avon Canal.
